The product is for non-intensive use only.
•
Use the tool only with the accessories indicated by the Manufacturer.
•
Use the tool only from the ground, working in a stable and safe position.
•
Always wear adequate and suitable safety clothing for the work to be carried out. Wear protective goggles and
verify that your clothes are fitting to the body. Avoid wearing neckties, necklaces, belts or long hair not tied as they
can be caught between the moving parts. Use non-slip shoes and heavy-duty gloves.
•
Wear a noise-abatement headset.
•
Do not operate, service or repair the tool if you are under the influence of medicines, alcohol or drugs which could
impair your alertness or co-ordination.
•
The tool can only be used by a suitably trained and instructed operator through safety training, which must be pro-
vided by the employer.
•
Entrust or lend the tool only to persons who are familiar with the instructions for use or trained by persons author-
ised by the employer.
•
Keep the tool out of the reach of children, people with disabilities or not trained to use it and also away from ani-
mals.
•
Never alter the safety and protective devices.
•
The user is responsible for dangers or injuries caused to other people or for damages caused to their properties.
•
Do not use the tool when precariously balanced on surfaces where the risk of slipping is present (for example on a
hill and/or on damp grass) or any place where it is impossible to maintain a stable balance (for example on steep
slopes).
•
Do not use the tool while standing on a ladder.
•
Keep the combs, and the moving parts in general, away from the face.
•
Before any maintenance, turn off the tool and disconnect the power cable from the battery pack (14).
•
Before any routine maintenance operations, read the use and maintenance manual carefully. For any maintenance
operation which is not indicated in this manual, please contact an Authorised Service Centre.
•
Use the tool only for the purposes described in par. "Product description". Any other use may cause injuries.
•
Store this manual carefully and always read it before using the tool.
•
Keep all the stickers with the safety indications in perfect conditions.
•
Do not use petrol, thinners or any aggressive products to clean the tool.
•
Avoid working in bad weather conditions, such as fog, heavy rain, strong winds, hailstorms, snow and ice.
•
When the tool is not used, turn off the on-off switch (off position) (7).
•
store the tool in a dry place.
•
Inhaling atomised oil or wooden dust can cause irritation or intoxication of the operator's breathing system. In case
of prolonged problems a specialist has to be contacted.
Read the following instructions carefully. Failure to do so can result in electric shock, fire or serious damage.
2.2.1
Workplace safety
•
Only use the tool in good visibility conditions. A dimly lit working area may cause accidents. Do not use it in low
light conditions, like in the dark in closed or open environments, at night, at dusk, at dawn or with dust or sand in
the air impeding clear visibility below 2 metres. Check if the visibility is acceptable by placing the product 2 metres
away with the labels showing, and these must be read clearly.
•
Do not use the tool in an explosive, flammable or damp environment.
•
Keep children, observers or animals at a safe distance before activating the tool in order to avoid hazards or inju-
ries.
2.3
Use
•
Wear protective goggles or a face shield, safety shoes, anti-vibration gloves and ear muffs (fig. F).
•
Get into a stable and safe work position.
•
Use the tool only for the purposes described in par. "Product description". Any other use can cause accidents and
is specifically forbidden by the Manufacturer.
•
Never use the tool if it is damaged, wrongly regulated or only partially assembled.
•
Wear protective goggles or a face shield, safety shoes, heavy-duty gloves and ear muffs (par. 3.8).
•
Get into a stable and safe working position, which guarantees perfect balance (for example a flat and dry surface).
•
The lit LED indicator (9) indicates that the tool is powered.
•
Do not open the handle (1).
•
Do not expose the tool to rain. Keep it in a dry place.
