TOOL USE

5.1

Starting the tool

Before starting operations with the tool, wear protective clothing as indicated in the picture and check that all the safe-
ty and protection systems are working and mounted properly.
Grasp the tool with one hand in the area of the pole near the handle. With the other hand, turn the ON-OFF switch
(7) to on (pos. ON).
The tool is ready for use.
Use the tool only for the purposes described in par. "Product description". Any other use may cause inju-
ries.
Only activate the tool when it is inserted between the branches. Improper use causes greater wear on the
tool and does not allow to save battery consumption.
5.2

Stopping the tool

The tool must be turned off at the end of the work session, therefore:
turn the ON-OFF switch (7) to off (pos. OFF);
take care to place the tool down, do not place its weight on the combs and/or do not bend or tension the connector
and the power cable (14);
do not crush the cable (14) by placing weights or the tool itself on it.
5.3

Troubleshooting

All maintenance shall be carried out by a mechanical or electric/electronic maintenance technician.
FAULT
The tool does not work.
The tool does not have adequate
power.
Temporary stop of the tool
during use.
The tool does not start.
Failure to comply with the instructions in the manual may cause damage or injury.

MAINTENANCE

6.1

Routine maintenance

Before performing any routine maintenance, turn off the ON-OFF switch (7) (pos. OFF) and disconnect the
cable (14) from the tool.
All the maintenance operations which are not described in this manual have to be performed in Authorised
Service Centres.
6.1.1

General Info

Before any routine maintenance:
Turn the ON-OFF switch to off (pos. OFF).
Put on heavy-duty protective gloves.

CAUSE
Battery pack discharged.
Fuse not working
Battery pack discharged.
Motor overheating due to thick vege-
tation.
Max current threshold exceeded.
Incorrect assembly of the pole with
the power unit.
REMEDY
Recharge the battery.
Replace the fuse
Recharge the battery.
Move away from the vegetation, wait fo
the automatic release and restart.
Disassemble the pole and check that
the motor attachment is inserted cor-
rectly into the pole coupling.
