CLEANING AND ADJUSTING THE IGNITION CANDLE
It is necessary to periodically remove and inspect the spark plug as heat and debris cause
wear.
If necessary, you should replace the spark plug with another of the same model. Before
assembling the spark plug, measure the distance between the electrodes and adjust the
difference for specification if necessary.
When plugging the spark plug, always clean the gasket surface and use a new gasket.
Clean the electrode dirt and tighten the spark plug screw to the correct torque.
CHEKING THE FUEL SYSTEM
Check for signs of leaks, malfunction or general damage. If a problem is found, contact your
authorized dealer or qualified mechanic.
ATTENTION
⚫ Check for leaks regularly.
⚫ If any fuel leak is found, the fuel system must be repaired by a qualified mechanic.
CHECKING THE SLOW MARCH
A tachometer is required to check the idle speed. Results may vary depending on whether
the test is performed in a test tank, or with the engine in the water.
1. Start the engine and allow it to warm up completely in neutral until it is working perfectly.
2. Verify that idle speed is set to specification.
