● Slide the edge guide bar into holes in the footplate (5), use the scale to set required distance and fix
by tightening the edge guide locking screws (12) (fig. I).
Edge guide bar should be pointed downwards.
CUTTING
● Put front part of the footplate (5) flat on the material that you plan to cut.
● Switch on the jigsaw and wait until it reaches its full set rotational speed.
● Move the jigsaw slowly and guide the blade along previously set cutting line.
● When cutting curved lines move the jigsaw very carefully.
Cut at a uniform rate, pay attention to avoid overloading the jigsaw. Excessive pressure applied on the
blade will suppress pendulum action and will affect cutting efficiency unfavourably. Decrease or switch off
the pendulum action completely when cutting along gently curved line.
When the jigsaw footplate does not rest on the processed material with its whole surface but is lifted
above, there is danger of breaking the blade.
CUTTING WITH USE OF LASER
Laser device unit generates laser beam that projects line on the material and shows how the material will
be cut. Laser beam is used for precision cutting.
● Press the laser switch button (13) (laser unit will start to project red line through the laser beam
aperture (14)) (fig. J).
● Position the footplate (5) on the material that you plan to cut. Use the laser beam as a reference line.
● Make the cut along the line. Switch the laser off when cutting is finished.
Dust produced when cutting may reduce intensity of laser beam, therefore it is necessary to occasio-
nally clean the laser generator. Never look directly at the source of the laser beam, never point the
laser beam at any person.
CUTTING A HOLE IN MATERIAL
● Drill a hole in processed material with 10 mm diameter.
● Put blade into the hole and start cutting from that spot.
RECOMMENDATIONS FOR PROPER JIGSAW USE
Cut at a steady rate, pay attention to avoid overloading the power tool. Excessive pressure applied on the
blade will suppress pendulum action and will affect cutting efficiency unfavourably. Decrease or switch off
the pendulum action completely when cutting along gently curved line.
If the jigsaw footplate does not move while rested against the processed material, but is lifted inste-
ad, there is a danger of breaking the blade.
METAL CUTTING / TYPES OF BLADES
Use appropriate blades with more teeth for cutting of metal.
For metal cutting use appropriate lubricant (e.g. cutting oil). Metal cutting without lubrication leads to
rapid wear of blade. The below table gives the best choices for blade type:

● Use only appropriate and sharp blades.
● Do not use blades with damaged shank.
● Use appropriate blade types.
