3) If the forks lower during the pumping process in the "NEUTRAL" setting, the setting
screw (324) must be turned anti-clockwise until the forks no longer move downwards.
4) If the forks no longer move downwards when the lever (D608) is in the "LOWER" setting,
the setting screw (324) must be turned clockwise until such time as raising the lever
(D608) causes the forks to be lowered. Now check whether the "NEUTRAL" setting, as
described in 2) and 3) works properly.
5) If the forks cannot be raised during the pumping process when the lever (D608) is in the
"ASCENT" setting, the setting screw (324) must be turned anti-clockwise until the forks
start to rise in this setting. Now check the "NEUTRAL" and "LOWER" settings again as
described in 2) + 3) + 4) to ensure that they work properly.

Servicing
1. OIL
The oil level should be checked every six months. The total volume of oil is approx.
0.3 litres. Top up the oil in the plastic tank to 5 mm below the maximum level after
first lowering the forks. The following oil types are to be used depending on the
temperature conditions.
Temperature
-5°C – approx. +45° C
-15°C - approx. - 5° C
-25°C – approx. –15°C
NOTE: the properties and quality of the oils conform to standard DIN 51524 (III)-1990
and ISO/CD 11158-1990.
2. To blow off air
When you replace the seals, air can get into the hydraulic oil. This may result in the
forks not rising during the pumping process when the lever is set to "ASCENT". The
air can be removed by setting the control lever (D610B) to the "LOWER" position and
then moving the handle (201) up and down several times.
3. Daily inspection and servicing
The daily inspection of the unit can limit wear to a large extent. Pay special attention
to the (311, 225 or 229), the axles (217, 219, 221), the lever (D610B), the forks (201)
and the up and down control. The forks should always be unladen and in their lowered
position after completing the work.
4. Lubrication
All moving parts should be lubricated at regular intervals with engine oil or grease.
