Preparation

PLEASE NOTE!

•

Do not operate the device without water or with less water than is required to reach the

MIN marking.

•

Never use the device without a suitable cup below the portaﬁ lter.

Preparing Espresso or Coffee

1. Fill the water tank (18) with water (see the "Handling and Operation" chapter – "Filling the

Water Tank").

2. Switch on the device by pressing the On / Off switch (16). The operating lamp (17) lights up

and the device starts the heating process.

3. Place the sieve insert you want (6, 7, 10) in the corresponding portaﬁ lter (8, 9) and ﬁ ll the

sieve insert (see the "Handling and Operation" chapter – "Inserting / Removing the Sieve

Insert" and following sections).

4. Insert the portaﬁ lter into the device (see the "Handling and Operation" chapter – "Inserting

the Portaﬁ lter into the Device").

5. Place one or two suitable cup(s) on the storage plate (12) under the portaﬁ lter.

With two cups make sure that they are each positioned next to each other below an outlet

under the portaﬁ lter.

6. Start the brewing process as soon as the temperature lamp (2) is lit up by turning the selec-

tor switch (15) to the

through the portaﬁ lter into the cup.

7. Once the required amount of espresso / coffee has run into the cup, turn the selector switch

to the

position. The device switches to stand-by mode and no more water runs through

the portaﬁ lter.

8. If you no longer wish to use the device, press the On / Off switch for approx. three seconds. The

device switches off and the operating lamp goes out.

If the device is not switched off manually, it automatically switches off after 30 minutes in

stand-by mode.
