Adjustment of the protective
reglet
The protective reglet on the back side of the chain
prevents the contact with running chain and injury
of the servicing person. The length of the protecti-
ve reglet must always be the same as the length
of the chain guide reglet, for example the guide
slat 18" long requires protective reglet 18" long
(the length in English inches is marked on the par-
ticular part). If you use shorter or longer guide re-
glet you must mount relevantly long protective
reglet at the same time.
Aluminium safety cover of the bottom guide pulley
must be in such a case shifted to the newly used
protective reglet:
-
Release the safety nut and take the fastening
screw out.
-
Put the safety cover on the new protective re-
glet and fasten firmly the nut.
Lubrication of the chain
The contest of the oil tank is 550 ml.
To avoid high wear the chain and its guide reglet
must be continuously lubricated during operation
of the machine Lubrication is ensured from oil
dose pump which delivers an optimal amount of
oil into the lubricating gutter of the guide reglet.
It is very important that you check the amount of
oil in the tank and the chain lubrication function
before starting every work. If the level of oil in the
tank lowers to its bottom edge, it is necessary to
replenish oil there.
Recommendation:
Use synthetic oils for lubrication of the
chains. Old oils and oils which are not
defined as oils for lubrication of the
chains are prohibited to be used.
Before opening the oil tank carefully
clean the environs around the oil stop-
per!
Sawdust and chips which could get into
the tank can cause blocking of the oil
channels and therefore cause a serious
break down of the lubrication of the
chain!
Oils which are possible to be biologi-
cally liquidated have lower lubrication
capability because of their composition
and can make the inner lubrication
channels sticky when there is a longer
break in operation of the machine.
Therefore follow the recommendation
of the producer!
Operation of the machine with the oil
tank not filled enough, or with non-
functional lubrication system will cau-
se damage of the oil dose pump and the
whole tool cut set!
Oil stopper of the dose pump must be
equipped with the hole for balancing air
pressure. If you lay the machine on the
side, the leak of oil can appear accor-
ding to the amount of oil in the tank.
Maintenance and treatment
Before starting all service work pull the
plug of the movable supply out of the
socket!
Maintenance of the guide chain
reglet
One-sided wear of the guide reglet can be avo-
ided if you turn the guide reglet after each sharpe-
ning of the chain.
a
Bulging of the outter slippery surfaces (picture 13
b) is normal operational wear. Remove the bulged
edges with soft flat file.
Inner guide surfaces will get worn (picture 13a)
when not enough lubrication, incorrect lubrication
of the chain or unsuitable working process.
Guide reglet must be replaced!
The links of the chain cannot in any case touch the
bottom of the gutter of the guide reglet. If the chain
touches the bottom of the gutter, the guide reglet
is so worn out that it is necessary to replace it.
Lubrication holes and gutter of the gui-
de reglet must be always clean.
