POWER switch
Press this switch to turn the unit on or off(standby).
The equipment draws nominal non-operating
power from the AC outlet with its POWER switch in
the OFF position.

STANDBY indicator
This indicator lights when the unit is in the standby
mode.
When the unit is turned on, it goes off.

Disc tray

Display
When the unit is on, the current status of the unit is
displayed.

OPEN/CLOSE button
Use this button to open and close the disc tray.

VOLUME/CONTROL
Turn this knob (or press the VOLUME buttons of the
remote control unit) to adjust the master volume.
G
PLAY/BAND button (y)
In DVD mode, use this button to start playback.
In TUNER mode, use this button to select FM or AM.
H
PAUSE/TUNING MODE/STEP button (J)
In DVD mode, use this button to pause playback.
During playback of DVD, this button is also used for
single stepping playback.
In TUNER mode, use this button to select the manual
tuning mode or the preset tuning mode.

STOP/MEMORY SET button (H)
In DVD mode, use this button to stop playback.
In TUNER mode, use this button to memory the
preset channels.

REMOTE SENSOR
When operating the remote control unit, point it
towards the REMOTE SENSOR.

SKIP/TUNING/PRESET buttons
In DVD mode, use these buttons to skip chapters or
tracks.
During PBC playback of a VCD, these buttons are
used to advance the menu page.
In TUNER mode, use these buttons to tune in a
station.
L
TONE/DIMMER button
This button is used to adjust BASS and TREBLE, or to
dim the display. Press this button repeatedly to
select BASS, TREBLE or DIMMER, and then press
the VOLUME/CONTROL button to adjust.
M
PHONES
For private listening, insert the headphones plug into
this jack, and adjust the volume by turning the
VOLUME knob.
N
FUNCTION (DVD, TUNER, MD/CD-R, TAPE, AUX)
These knob and buttons are used to select a
function.
