STARTING WITH IMPEDANCES OR AUTOTRANSFORMER
It can be used for any power motors.
Starting voltage (Us): ≥ 65% rated voltage (A).
WARNING!
The duration of the phase of start-up should not exceed 2.5 s
STARTING WITH SOFT STARTER
It can be used for any power motors.
Starting voltage (Us):
≥ 55% rated voltage (A) P2 ≤ 37 kW
WARNING!
≥ 65% rated voltage (A) P2> 37 kW
The duration of the phase of the start-up and shutdown phase should not exceed 4 s
Starting current (Is) ≤ 400% rated current (In)
STARTING WITH FREQUENCY CHANGER (INVERTER)
Refer to Appendix A
GROUND CONNECTION
Choose a ground wire with a copper conductor of proper section, refer to local and national electrical system
of the place where the pump is installed. If in doubt, use an earth cable with copper conductor having a section
equal to that of the phase conductors feeding the motor.
Make sure the ground wire is connected to the motor in the proper position (TAB. III)
Ground the delivery pipe and the jacket of the well.
For harsh environments where there is a risk of corrosion of the conductor or the earth connection and you can
not ground the delivery pipe or the shirt of the well (because, for example made of plastic), to provide for an ap-
propriate system of protection (for example by means of a differential switch appropriately set) that are present
even if the earth conductor is no longer
connected.

ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS

After verifying the data indicated on the plate, make the electrical connection on the terminals of the control panel in compliance with the
diagrams Fig. 5, depending on the voltage and number of phases of the power line.
Connect the cable ground in its position inside the switchboard.
Make the connection between the cable and power panel after installing the unit in the well or in the system
(tank, shirt etc ..).
PROTECTION REGULATION
Calibrate the thermal relay of the equipment to the value corresponding to the nominal current of the motor and start its. Slowly reduce
the setting of the thermal overload protection up to cause the intervention. Increase the relay settings of 5% and restart the motor; if
the relay intervenes again the values will require a further increase of 5%, otherwise leave the value set.
Adjusting PT100 on MS motor (optional): Refer to the control unit of the probe manual. For motors with PVC windings, set the alarm
threshold for temperatures not exceeding 70 ° C, for PE + PA wound motors set the alarm threshold for temperatures not exceeding 90 ° C.
CHECKING THE ROTATION WAY
WARNING!
Never run the pump dry even for a few moments.
Check the rotation way - three-phase motors
The right rotation way is the one that provides the highest head with the delivery closed. If the pump rotates in the reverse way, reverse
two phases on the terminal block.
Checking the rotation way - single-phase motors: The standard rotation way is counterclockwise (viewed from the motor shaft-end).
WARNING!
Repeat the test every time the motor is disconnected from the power supply.
