3.4. MOUNTING AND CONNECTING THE
BATTERY
The battery (fig. 5.A) is housed under the seat and secured
by a spring (fig. 5.B).
1. First connect the red wire (fig. 5.C) to the positive pole
(+) and then the black wire (fig. 5.D) to the negative pole
(–), using the screws supplied as shown.
2. Coat the terminals with silicone grease and ensure that the
red cable protection cap is correctly positioned (fig. 5.E).
IMPORTANT Always fully charge the battery according to the
instructions in the battery booklet.

4. CONTROLS
• Key switch (Fig. 10.A)
The key enables/disables the machine and headlights ignition
(if available).
Stop position.
Headlights ignition position (if available).
On position.
Start position.
IMPORTANT Remove the key whenever the machine is left
unattended or not in use.
• Throttle control (Fig. 10.E)
Regulates the engine's r.p.m.
Choke Command - Cold start.
Maximum engine speed.
Minimum engine speed.
• Parking brake lever (Fig. 10.D)
Brake not engaged.
Brake engaged.
• Clutch/brake pedal (mechanical drive) (Fig. 10.I)
In the first part of the stroke it acts as a clutch by
engaging or disengaging the wheel drive.
In the second part it acts as a brake, acting on the
rear wheels
• Speed control lever (mechanical drive) (Fig. 10.K)
Five forward gears
The gear must only be engaged when the
machine has stopped.
Neutral position «N»
Reverse gear «R»
Reverse must only be engaged when the machine
has stopped.
To shift from one gear to the other, press the pedal (Fig. 10.I)
halfway down and move the lever according to the indications
on the label.
• Brake pedal (hydrostatic drive) (Fig. 10.I)
This pedal operates the brakes on the rear wheels
(fig. 10.I)
• Drive pedal (hydrostatic drive) (Fig. 10.J)

Reverse drive gear
IMPORTANT If the drive pedal is operated in both forward
and reverse with the parking brake (fig. 10.D) engaged, the en-
gine stops.
