After removing air from the system, press the "Fluid Maintenance" button again to
turn off the tank pump, then press the "Close" button. This way the TM 514 is
ready to test injectors and valves.
Testing injector flow
TM 514 is able to perform the following tests:
• Electrical test
• Leak test
• Starting Test
• Test full load condition
• Test partial load condition
• Test in idle condition
• Test in pre-injection condition
Electrical test: Check the electrical condition of the solenoid or piezo injector
element.
Leak test: Check the injector for oil leakage. The leak test checks for excess oil
through the return line.
Starting Test: The starting pressure test is used to check the spray of the
injector in this critical condition of the vehicle. This test is visual, ie it is necessary
to check that the injector has no obstructed bore or is spraying properly. The test
lasts ten seconds.
Test full load condition: this is the test in which the injector is subjected to full
load conditions of the vehicle.
