10.7 BATTERY MANAGEMENT (POWER SERIES ONLY)
Electro-actuated lifting trolleys are equipped with a
detachable battery.
The charging status of the battery is clearly indicated by
the LEDs on the control unit's protective cover, which
light up when the device is switched on.
The lighting of the last LED at the bottom, corresponding
to a charge level of approximately 25%, identifies low
battery conditions.
When a battery is discharged, the device can no longer
be moved and it is therefore necessary to recharge the
battery.
To remove the battery, press and hold the two red tabs
on the battery itself, then pull in the direction shown by
the arrow.
Once removed, the battery can be recharged using the
charger supplied with the device.
Note: The battery and charger are not integral parts
of the product and therefore their operation is not
described in this manual.
For their safe and proper use, please refer to the
respective user manuals inside their respective
packaging.
11. MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
11.1 CLEANING
Failure to carry out the correct cleaning operations could increase the risk of cross-infection due to presence of body fluids and/or residues.
The operator must wear suitable personal protective equipment, such as gloves, goggles, etc. during all checking and cleaning operations.
• Switch off the device (Power series only)
• Isolate it from the power supply by disconnecting the battery (Power series only).
• The external parts of the device can be cleaned using common surface disinfectants.
• Make sure that no solution gets inside the device.
• After checking that the product is completely dry, the battery can be reconnected unless the device is to be stored in a cool, dry place to preserve its performance cha-
racteristics.
The use of high-pressure water is prohibited, as this may penetrate into the device and cause component corrosion.
11.2 ROUTINE MAINTENANCE
Establish a maintenance program and periodic checks, identifying a designated reference person. The person entrusted with device maintenance must ensure the basic
requirements envisaged by the manufacturer in the following paragraphs.
All routine and special maintenance activities and all general overhauls must be recorded and documented with the relevant technical intervention reports. This
documentation must be kept for at least 10 years after the end of the device's life and must be made available to the competent authorities and/or the Manufacturer
when requested.
To ensure the traceability of the products and protect maintenance and service procedures on your devices, Spencer has made the ASSTEC portal
it/asstec/login.aspx) available to you. From this site, you can view the data of the products in your possession or placed on the market, monitor and update schedules for
periodic checks and view and manage special maintenance.
Routine device maintenance must be carried out by operators with specific qualifications, training and instruction in the use and maintenance of the device. This training must
be recorded and kept for at least 10 years after the end of the product's life and must be made available to the competent authorities and/or the Manufacturer when requested.
In the absence of such documentation, the relevant bodies will apply any foreseen sanctions.
The operator must wear suitable personal protective equipment, such as gloves, goggles and footwear during all checking, maintenance and cleaning operations.
Checks to be carried out before and after each use and at deadline indicated are as follows:
CHECK
Correct operation of the lifting system
Wiring conditions
Oil leaks
Correct operation of controls
After each use check:
• General functionality of the device
• Cleanliness of the device (remember that the failure of cleaning may cause the risk of cross infections)
• No structural parts are deformed or compromised
The frequency of inspections is determined by factors such as legal requirements, type of use, frequency of use, and environmental conditions during use and storage.
Please note that cleaning must be carried out as described in this manual and that functionality must be verified before and after each use. Spencer Italia S.r.l. declines any
responsibility for improper functioning or damages caused to the patient or user by the use of devices not subject to routine maintenance, invalidating the warranty.
