Independent from the operating mode, every switching output is equipped with an antifreeze function. As soon as the tem-
perature falls below the defined frost protection temperature of 5 °C, the valves of the assigned heating zone are triggered
until the frost protection temperature is reached.

If the radio connection between the base station and a room control unit remains interrupted for a defined period of time

3.4 Vacation mode

When vacation mode is activated, the base station regulates all heating zones to a freely adjustable target temperature,
which can be set between 5 and 30 °C per room.
– The vacation mode remains active until it is cancelled in the Alpha Smart App or until the target temperature is changed
on the room control unit.
– When the vacation mode is deactivated, the previous operating mode is reactivated. If the respective heating zone is in
automatic mode, it will be controlled in manual mode until the next switching time. After that, the automatic mode is
re-activated.
3.5 Radio connection to a room control unit

In the event of a weak radio connection to a room control unit, the heating zone LEDs on the base station flash with the fol-
lowing frequency:
