7.3.3 Installing the holder
Front holder (fig. 3 A)
➤ Attach the two lower holders with the original bolts underneath the fuel tank.
➤ Only tighten the bolts slightly.
➤ Fasten the two top holders each with 1 x M8 x 30 bolt, 2 x M8 Ø24 washers
and 1 x M8 stop nut.
➤ Only tighten the bolts slightly.
Rear, left holder (fig. 3 C)
➤ Attach the rear left holder to the existing attachment points of the spare tire
jack. Use 2 x M8 x 25 bolts and 2 x M8 spring washers.
Rear, right holder (fig. 3 B)
These installation steps are used to ensure the exact installation position of the
rear, right holder on the vehicle. Proceed as follows:
➤ Loosely mount the rear, right holder with 1 x M8 x 20 bolts and 1 x M8 stop
nut to the base frame.
➤ Mount the base frame with 2 x M8 x 25 bolts, 1 x M8 x 20 bolt and
3 x M8 stop nuts to the two front and the rear, left holders on the vehicle.
Hand-tighten the bolts.
➤ Tighten all screw connections in the area of the two front holders and the fuel
tank.
➤ Mark the two attachment points for rear, right holder on the vehicle.
➤ Disassemble the base frame with the rear, right holder again and separate it
from the base frame again.
➤ Make two Ø11 mm holes at the previously marked positions and treat the
holes with a rust-protection agent or similar.
➤ Insert the supplied M8 pull-in sleeves into the holes with a suitable pull-in
tool.
➤ Loosely mount the rear, right holder with 2 x M8 x 20 bolts and
2 x M8 spring washers.
7.3.4 Installing the DC unit
➤ Remove the nine bolts from the cover of the DC unit (fig. 4).
➤ Take off the cover.
➤ Insert the 4 x dampers and 4 x spacer sleeves included in the scope of
delivery of the DC unit into the base plate of the DC unit (fig. 5).
➤ Position the DC unit on the base frame (fig. 5).
