1. Visually check out site, making sure all
obstructions (i.e. windows, pipes, bulkheads,
newel posts, etc.) have been taken into
consideration.
2. If stairway is an "open" plan or stairs do not
adjoin a solid wall, access to the stairs must
be paneled off before installation may occur.
3. Determine if stairlift will be installed on the
right or left side of stairs, as viewed from
bottom of the stairs .
1. Determine exact rail length.
NOTE: The rail length will determine the
