Mode Description
The sensor reliably detects objects no
matter whether there is a background
or not.
The sensor detects objects in front
of the background with a small dis‐
tance between object and background.
It requires a stable background as a ref‐
erence.
The sensor is typically used to detect
flat objects on conveyor belts.
Two-point teach- The sensing range is defined by teach‐
in (BGS) ing in at two points (object leading
edge/rear edge). The sensing range is
placed in the center of the two distan‐
ces.
Two independent The sensor has two independent switch‐
switching points ing points that can be taught in sepa‐
(BGS) rately.
Window (BGS) The sensor detects objects located
within a taught-in window.
ApplicationSelect Sensing range increases and sensitiv‐
ity rises so that even shiny, dark and
uneven objects, even in an inclined
position, are reliably detected.
Manual / Meas‐ With "Manual/Measurement" mode, the
urement distance value can be read out via IO-
Link. This mode is only available via IO-
Link.
