Starter Grip
Used when the battery voltage is too low to turn the starter motor. Pulling the
starter grip operates the recoil starter to start the engine.
• Do not exceed 20 degrees from horizontal when pulling the starter grip.
• Do not allow the starter grip to snap back against the engine. Return it gently to
prevent damage to the starter.
• Do not let the starter rope rub against the generator body, or the rope will wear
out prematurely.
