PARKING BRAKE
To stop the mower correctly, the user must engage the brake lever. When the lever is in the position
shown (fig. 8, ref. B) the brake is not engaged. Remember to always engage the parking brake,
especially when leaving the machine at standstill on slopes.
HOW TO ADJUST THE MACHINE
The mower is equipped with a dry clutch on the hydrostatic axle to maintain the position. To change the
clutch load, lock the nut (fig. 12, ref. B). To adjust the belt tension on the transmission of the blade, adjust
the regulating screw (fig. 6, ref. D) and keep the compensation spring at 2 mm. The blade brake is made
up of friction material (fig. 6, ref. B) and it is installed on a spring (fig. 6, ref. A). When working, the pulley
detachment should be minimal and should take place only in the final phase of the movement of the
P.T.O guide pulley.
USEFUL TIPS FOR EFFICIENT USE
1) Never strain the engine: when fumes are emitted from the exhaust it means that it is being strained
and should be slowed down.
2) Do not leave the machine out in the rain.
3) Frequently sharpen the mower blades: the cut will be better and the engine will not strain too much.
4) Keep the engine at the maximum r.p.m. during mowing and adjust the speed according to the grass
height.
5) Keep the grids above the engine and the cooling fins of the hydraulic motor (fig. 10 ) clean.
CUTTING POSITIONS
To adjust the cutting position use the lever (fig. 1, n°10). The deck can be set in several different cutting
positions going from 50 mm to 110 mm. In case of uneven ground, humps or dips, the deck should be
kept in the highest cutting position to prevent the blade from hitting the ground.
CAUTION!
- Disconnect the plug before performing any cleaning, maintenance or repair operation. Always
wear suitable clothing and working gloves.
- When the machine or part of it is lifted to carry out maintenance operations, always remember
to use suitable fixing tools such as holders and safety locks.
- When carrying out maintenance operations and/or when the machine is tilted without safety
locks or supports, never leave it unguarded in places where inexperienced people and children
could have easy access to it.
- Protect the environment: carefully dispose of used oils, petrol and any other pollutant product!
- Effective maintenance and correct lubrication help to keep the machine fully efficient.
CAUTION!
To operate on the hydrostatic transmission remove the cowling by loosening the four M6 screws located
rear on the upper part.
ENGINE
For the lubrication intervals, follow the instructions provided in the engine handbook. Oil must be
changed after the first 5 working hours using an oil suction device. Use SAE 30 oil. The first
precaution is to ensure that the engine is correctly serviced with the air filter, cooling fins, a clean cylinder
head and the oil at the correct level. Check the air filter every 4 hours, and even more so in very dusty
environments (fig. 10, ref. A). Check the engine cooling system intake grid (fig. 10, ref. B).
HYDROSTATIC AXLE
The hydrostatic axle does not require any special maintenance. It is filled with 20W50 oil. The oil fill cap
is located on the upper part (fig. 9, ref. B).
