4.4. Timer
U - The timer automatically starts when the test button is pressed. Test
duration is one minute, when the test will be stopped automatically.
4.5. Voltmeter
D - By pressing this key, the instrument will measure the voltage
effectively applied to the element being tested.
4.6. Limit (LIM)
By pressing V key the insulation tester works like "Pass-fail test"
instrument. When the resistance is lesser than 100 MΩ the instrument
indicates with a sound signal and > / led will be blinking.
4.7. Memory (HOLD)
When T key is pressed the instrument is at the hold function and,
therefore, holding the value of the last performed measurement on the
display.
4.8. Filter
When insulation measures are carried out in transformers next to high-
voltage lines (though disconnected from them during measurement) the
capacitive effect causes the appearance of significant voltages over the
isolation resistances. In order to minimise this effect, the equipment has a
filter, which is activated when pressing the M key. If this situation is
suspected, it is advisable to press this key before starting the
measurement keeping it pressed at least up to the resistance
measurement is higher than 300 MΩ.
