8. Battery charger
The MD-1035e uses a rechargeable battery for power supply. At the end
of the useful life, that battery has to be recycled or disposed of properly in
order to take care of the environment. This equipment has an internal
battery charger with a smart, microprocessor-controlled circuit which
adjusts the battery charge to the optimized parameters to ensure the
maximum service life.
8.1. Battery charge
The following process has to be followed to charge the battery:
Check if switch 1 is Off.
1.
2.
Connect the equipment to the electric supply network.
After a few seconds, the charging indicator (led over C key) will
3.
turn on red and will remain that way until the battery is totally
charged. Then the light will remain green and keep in that way until
the MD-1035e is disconnected of the mains.
4.
If the equipment is turned on, the charging procedure will be
momentarily interrupted, with the mains supplying the operation of
the equipment till it is again turned off.
Note: The battery looses part of its charge when stored. Therefore, the
battery should be recharged before using the equipment for the first time
or after a given period without being used.
