4.1
FUEL CHARACTERISTICS
d
It is forbidden to use any fuel other than pellets.
d
DO NOT USE pellets with different dimensions to
those specified by the manufacturer.
There are various types of pellets available on the market with differ-
ent characteristics and varying levels of quality depending on the type
of wood used and the production process adopted.
Since the characteristics and quality of the pellets significantly in-
fluence the product's autonomy, performance and correct operation,
the manufacturer recommends using certified pellets conforming to
Class 1 requirements (EN 17225-2).
The pellets must have the following dimensional and performance
properties:
Raw material of origin
Maximum length
Diameter
Maximum humidity content
Maximum ash residue
a
The use of poor-quality pellets or any other material
can damage the appliance's operation and void the
warranty, resulting in the manufacturer being ex-
empted from all liability.
l
If the size and heating capacity of the pellets differ
from those recommended, it could be necessary to
modify the product's operating parameters.
The alteration of the operating parameters (where
■
applicable) MUST be entrusted to qualified and au-
thorised personnel.
d
DO NOT USE pellets with a high degree of humidity.
DO NOT USE deteriorated and poorly stored pellets
■
that contain sawdust, resins, chemical and plastic
substances, additives or binders.

STORAGE
l
To ensure optimal combustion, the pellets must be
stored in a dry and covered place, sufficiently far
away from the appliance and from heat sources that
may trigger combustion.
a
During transport and storage of the pellets, be care-
ful not to damage the packs.
The room chosen to store the pellets must not be
■
used as a warehouse for flammable substances or
for activities subject to the risk of fire.
The pellets must be transported and stored strictly in
■
a way that ensures they remain dry at all times.
