Installation and operating instructions Liftson L
A type-tested non-return valve is integrated in the system so that a non-return valve pre-
scribed according to EN 12056 no longer needs to be installed in the pressure pipe
(designed at Liftson L-2V as a double non-return valve). The non-return valve has a lifting
device so that the pressure pipe can be drained into the tank if necessary.

6.2 Function
The introduced sewage is collected in the collection tank of the lifting unit. This is done via
sewage inlet pipes, which can be connected to the marked tank areas as desired.
A rod float switch at the appropriate level automatically switches on the pump(s) mounted
on the tank with clogging-free free-flow impeller and the collected sewage is conveyed
into the connected external sewage pipe. When the high water level is reached, an acoustic
signal is output and there is a forced switch-on of all pumps. An integrated rechargeable
battery makes it possible for alarm signals to be independent of the mains. This signal is
self-acknowledging when the high water level is undershot.
The pump (on Liftson L-2V: base-load pump) is deactivated via a time relay in the switch-
gear. By setting the pump run on this relay, you can optimise the operating mode of the
system in accordance with the relevant in-house discharge pipeline. (For example, you can
set the run-on time up to the slurping operation to prevent the non-return valve from hit-
ting.)
On the double-pump system Liftson L-2V, the second pump cuts in when the water level
continues to increase after the base-load pump has been switched on.
A pump alteration occurs after every pump operation. If one of the pumps should fail, the
other pump takes over all the pumping work.
7 Installation and electrical connection
DANGER! Risk of fatal injury!
Incorrect installation and inexpert electrical connection can pose a risk of fatal injury.
• The installation and electrical connection may only be carried out by qualified person-
nel in accordance with the applicable regulations.
• Accident prevention regulations must be observed.
DANGER! Danger of suffocation!
Toxic or health-hazardous substances in sewage sumps can lead to infections or suffo-
cation.
• For safety reasons, make sure a second person is present at all times when you are
working in the sump.
• Make sure the installation location is sufficiently ventilated.
