Operation
Setting of the capacity / flow rate
For step motor pumps, the metering capacity is set by changing the metering stroke
duration with a constant suction stroke duration. The lower the metering capacity that
is set, the more the expression time is extended. For example, setting the metering
capacity to 50% doubles the expression duration. When considered over a fixed period
(for example, one minute), this results in a halving of the metering capacity.

Use the 'rotary button for setting the dosage quantity' to set the required litre
capacity / flow rate.
2.
Use a suitable screwdriver to tighten the locking mechanism and fix the rotary button
in place to exclude the risk of accidental adjustment.
Switch to metering mode
When working with liquids with high viscosity, cavitation (shearing of the fluid flow in the
intake tract) often occurs due to the very high friction forces that occur during suction. This
can be counteracted by extending the intake time and thus reducing the friction torque.
If "Viscosity high" metering mode is selected, the pump speed is reduced by one third and
the suction time is extended accordingly. However, since the metering stroke time is also
extended in addition to the suction time, the maximum metering capacity of the pump is
reduced by one third.
