Error cause
- The device is not connec-
ted to the mains
- Batteries empty or battery
voltage too low
- Battery box is empty
- Batteries inserted incor-
rectly
- Chipcard not inserted
completely or inverted
- REINER 880 cannot process
Chipcard line 2
- Set number of the imprint
is invalid
- EEPROM error
- Imprint exceeds the
maximum width of 60 mm
- Printing system not
performed completely,
ribbon stiff
- Numberer 1: Step larger or
equal to 10, but numberer
of the imprint has one digit
Remedy
- Connect the mains adapter

connection socket
- Connect mains line to the
mains unit
- Connect mains line to the
socket
- Insert new batteries,
push [OK], message only
appears once a day
- Inserting batteries
- Observe polarity of the
batteries
- Insert Chipcard correctly
- Push [OK].
- Device uses only line 1
- Select valid imprint
- Push [OK], contact specia-
list vendor or the REINER-
service
- Press [OK], shorten imprint
(e.g. switch off text prefix)
- Press [OK], check ribbon
cassette and replace if
required
- Press [OK], then set the
step to less than 10 in the
menu
