4.3 Changing the filter cartridges
4.3.1 Change the pre-filter cartridge
The prefilter cartridge must be replaced once the stated capacity has been reached, in accordance with
manufacturer's specifications or no later than 12 months after commissioning, whichever occurs first.
For filter replacement, proceed as follows
Turn off the electrical power supply of the system; close the shut-off valve of the water supply circuit.

Press the orange buttons to remove the lock box.
2.
Remove the exhausted filter by sliding it horizontally out of the filter head.
3.
Prepare the new filter, removing the seal.
4.
Position the new filter, inserting it horizontally in the filter head.
5.
Position the lock box, pushing it up to end of stroke, ensure the buttons have clicked
into position (you will hear a click)
6.
Flush the new cartridge (see 4.2 Installation)
7.
Record the next exchange date on the cartridge label.
4.3.2 Change the 2 membrane cartridges
Procedure to replace the membranes:
The membrane must be replaced after exhaustion (decreasing filter performance) or no later than 2
years, whichever occurs first.
1.
Remove the side "L" housing part by unscrewing it from the machine casing.
2.
Unlock the locking slider of the orange closing plugs at the side and unscrew the plugs.
3.
Dismantle the inner vessel sealing plugs, rotating with an adequate screwdriver inserted in the
plug eyelets. This may require high force.
4.
Remove both exhausted membranes, clean the vessel inside

Insert the new membranes

Assemble the inner vessel sealing plugs, assemble the closing plugs until the locking slider triggers
7.
Start the system, deliver water for a complete air bleed. If necessary, adjust the pressure of the
pump and the bypass (see the installation chapter)
8.
Make sure the assembly is correct and that there are no leaks before mounting the casing back on.
9.
Flush the new membranes (see 4.2 Installation)
10. Record the replacement in your service protocol to plan next replacement accordingly.
11. Reset the filter capacity in the display by:
a. Press firmly the BRITA logo in the display for some seconds
b. You will pass to the second page.
c. On this page, keep pressing on "AP" for more than 5 seconds, you will hear a beep and the
filter parameters would be reset.
