Outer Cover Lens: (p. 7 - Fig. 07)
1. The outer cover protection lens is fitted on the front of the flip.
To remove the lens push the button on the left-hand side of the
helmet this will release the catch. Once released lift the lens
away pulling to the opposite side of the helmet.
2. To refit locate the new lens under the location tab on the right-
hand side to the helmet (a clicking sound should be audible
when it clicks into place) and line the lens down on the flip insu-
ring a square fit. Using your thumbs push the visor left and right
of the button and the visor will click. The visor is now fitted cor-
rectly.
Replacing the inner lens: (p. 6 - Fig. 05)
1. To replace the inner lens the ADF needs to be removed from
the flip-element. To do this, lift the flip into the up position. Rest
the helmet with the chin facing up exposing the bottom of the
ADF. (p. 7 - Fig. 08) Slide the two locking tabs into the midd-
le. The ADF can now be slid out with a gentle pull.
2. To remove the inner lens use the plunger tool provided. Push it
on to the lens ensuring firm suction. Now pull and the lens
should come out.
3. To fit the inner lens locate the one side under the tabs. Slightly
bend the lens and push the opposite side in, ensuring the lens is
under all tabs.
4. Refit the ADF by sliding it along the tabs back into the flip-
element and slide the two tabs outward to secure the ADF in
place. (p. 7 - Fig. 08)
Replacing the grinding visor: (p. 6 - Fig. 06)
1. Lift the flip-up element to expose the grinding visor. From the
inside of the helmet push against the left side of the visor (1)
until this side pops free. Repeat this process for the other side
(2).
1. With both sides free push against the middle top (3) of the visor.
Once this is done the visor can be simply lifted out of the noes
bridge (4).
2. To refit the visor, start by sliding the tab into the nose bridge (4).
Gently bend the lens to pull the top tab of the visor into the
respective slot (3). Make sure that both taps are located cor-
rectly.
3. In a next step, carefully bend the left side of visor towards the
centre so that tab slides into the slot (2) and use your thumb to
push it in. Repeat this step for the other side (1)
REPLACING THE ADF BATTERY
1. To replace the ADF Battery the ADF needs to be removed from
the flip-element. To do this, lift the flip into the up position. Rest
the helmet with the chin facing up exposing the bottom of the
ADF. (p. 7 - Fig. 08) Slide the two locking tabs into the midd-
le. The ADF can now be slid out with a gentle pull.
2. Once the ADF is out slide the battery cover upwards and remo-
ve it.
3. Take the battery out and dispose in accordance with your local
regulations.
4. Place the new battery in ensuring the correct polarity and slide
the battery tray cover back into position.
5. Refit the ADF by sliding it along the tabs back into the flip-
element and slide the two tabs outward to secure the ADF in
place. (p. 7 - Fig. 08)
TROUBLE SHOOTING
ʷ
Not Switching – Stop welding immediately if the auto lens stays
light and will not darken. Review the sensitivity recommenda-
tions and adjust sensitivity. Clean lens cover and sensors of any
obstructions. Note! Make sure the sensors are clean and facing
the arc; angles of 45° or more do not allow the arc light to
reach the sensors.

Not switching – If the auto lens stays dark after the weld arc is
extinguished, or the auto-lens stays dark when no arc is pre-
sent. Fine-tune the sensitivity setting by making small adjust-
ments to the control by turning it toward the 'Lo' setting. In
extreme light conditions, it may be necessary to reduce the
surrounding light levels.
