Thank you for choosing a quality product from Amoena Medizin-Orthopädie-Technik GmbH. Since
1975, Amoena has stood for innovative and high-quality products for the special needs of women
who have undergone breast surgery.
Purpose
Surface pressure is employed to prevent the formation of oedema and to support venous return and
lymphatic drainage by increasing interstitial pressure. Compression therapy is usually a long-term
treatment and requires appropriate products – as prescribed by a doctor if medically indicated – to be
used by the patient themselves. In addition, Amoena Pressure Pads can increase the pressure in a tar-
geted fashion via insertion into a garment, thus supporting oedema therapy in the case of specifically
localised oedema. The breast shell supports the local mobilisation of fibrotic or oedematous tissue.
Since the stage also determines the form of therapy, the Amoena Lymph Flow SB FC and Amoena
Lymph Flow Long SB FC in Compression Class 1 (approx. 20 mmHG) are to be used for the following
indications.
Indications
Damage to the venous/lymphatic vascular function/structure of the thorax and/or mamma (e.g. post-
operative/post-traumatic, congestion due to immobilisation) with mild and moderate swelling, mild to
moderate risk of oedema, feeling of heaviness, for oedema reduction, relief of discomfort and pain
Absolute contraindications
Septic phlebitis, phlegmasia coerulea dolens, acute bacterial, viral or allergic inflammation, untreated
or advanced skin diseases/contact eczema, untreated open wounds, limb swelling of unknown cause,

the extremities, compensated cardiac insufficiency, skin infections, intolerance to pressure or product
ingredients, primary chronic polyarthritis. If there are open wounds in the treatment area, the wound
area must first be covered with an appropriate dressing or bandage before the compression garment is
applied. Amoena cannot accept any liability if these contraindications are not observed.

Rough, unfiled and cracked fingernails and/or sharp-edged rings etc. may damage the fine material.
The compression garment, pressure pad and breast shell should only be dispensed by trained special-
