Adding titles between scenes of video camera recorder
playback, and recording on a VTR
1 Press the INPUT SELECT MAIN button on the XV-T500
so that the "1" lamp lights up.
2 Select the fine input on the VTR and the television or
color monitor.
3 Press the MAIN button on the XV-T500.
4 Record the playback from the video camera recorder on
the VTR.
5 When you reach the point where you want to add the
title, put the VTR and the video camera recorder in the
pause mode.
6 Press the TITLE (M) button on the XV-T500.
7 Release the pause on the VTR.
The title wilt be recorded.
8 When you want to stop the title recording, put the VTR
in the pause mode and press the MAIN button on the
XV-T500.
9 Release the pause on the video camera recorder and
the VTR.
Superimposing titles on video camera recorder playback,
and recording on a VTR
1 Press the INPUT SELECT MAIN button on the XV-T500
so that the "1" lamp lights up.
2 Select the line input on the VTR and the television or
color monitor.
3 Press the MAIN button on the XV-T500.
4 Record the playback from the video camera recorder on
the VTR.
5 When you reach the point where you want to
superimpose a title, press the SUPERIMPOSE button on
the XV-T500.
The playback with the title superimposed will be recorded.
6 When you reach the point where you want to stop
superimposition of the title, press the MAIN button on
the XV-T500.
Pressing the OUTPUT SELECT button while recording may result in
video noise. It is better to press the button after putting your recording
VTR into the recording pause mode.
Depending on the monitor or television connected, superimposing
white, yellow or other brightly colored titles may lead to darkening of
the background. In such a case, lower the SUPERIMPOSE
LEVEL lever
slightly.
When performing insert recording, the material previously recorded on
the recording VTR is erased. Double-check the counter number of the.
point where you want to cease recording the title-insert material, so
that recorded sections you want to preserve are not erased.
¢ When you use each of the picture search, the still or the skip scan
function, the recorded title frame may be disturbed.
¢ If the title is superimposed on the black and white picture (which has
been recorded with the black and white VTR or video camera), the title
frame will be played back in black and white, too.
Inserting a scene from video camera recorder playback,
with a title superimposed, into a previously recorded video
program (insert recording)
1 Press the INPUT SELECT MAIN button on the XV-T500
so that the "1" lamp lights up.
2 Select the line input on the VTR and the television or
color monitor.
3 On the video camera recorder, find the scene on which
you want to superimpose a title, and set the camera
into the playback pause mode.
4 Find the point on the recording VTR into which you
wish to insert the scene with the title superimposed,
and set it into the recording pause mode.
5 Press the SUPERIMPOSE button on the XV-T500.
6 Release the playback pause on the camera recorder and
the recording pause on the VTR.
The material previously recorded on the recording VTR is erased and
the playback from the video camera recorder, with title superimposed,
will be recorded.
7 When you reach the point where you want to stop
recording the scene with the title superimposed, stop
the VTR.
To continuously display the picture selected with the
INPUT SELECT TITLE switch
Connect a television or color monitor to the TITLE EE
OUT jack on the XV-T500's rear panel. The picture will
be displayed in black and white.
The title or image memorized cannot be displayed.
When you use each of the fast forward, rewind, still or
picture search function to find the desired point on the
playback VTR, press the OUTPUT SELECT MAIN button
on the XV-T500.
