• The Tramontina pressure cooker is completely safe, as long as all the
guidelines in this manual are followed;
• Always obey the maximum water level marked inside the cooker (See
max. level mark - fig. 3);
• With foods like rice or dried vegetables, which expand during the
cooking process, do not fill the cooker to more than half the maximum
water level. Filling the cooker more than halfway risks clogging the
working valve, resulting in excess pressure. Read "How to safely use the
Pressure Cooker" (page 21);
• Take note that certain foods like apple sauce, fruit, porridges made with
barley, oatmeal and other cereals can foam or crackle, which in turn may
obstruct the release of pressure (steam escape).
• Always check on the condition of the working valve before use to ensure
the cooker's proper operation (page 24 - fig. 15);
• When removing rings and/or the other silicone parts and the metal filter
for cleaning, always make sure to put them back in the correct position;
• If you experience difficulty in opening the lid, it means there is still
internal pressure in the cooker. Do not force the handles and handholds
in this case. Keep the working valve on and pour cold water over the lid
to cool it off. This will reduce the internal pressure (fig. 12). See how to
proceed in "How to safely use the Pressure Cooker" (page 21);
• Do not use the pressure cooker to heat oil.
When the working valve starts releasing steam reduce the heat.
This will permit greater savings in energy.
