General safety instructions
ATTENTION, DANGER
• Learn how to turn off the engine quickly.
• Become familiar with the commands and correct use of the machine.
• Before starting work, remove all foreign matter (stones, metal wires, rods, etc.) from the area where
the equipment will be used. Read all safety labels applied to the machine and follow instructions given
before starting, operating, refueling, or performing any maintenance.
• Work safely and firmly. Always work in a transversal direction, never on slopes or descents.
• Never work on slopes greater than 25%.
• Stop the engine before checking or repairing the machine; If the machine begins to vibrate abnormally,
carry out a complete inspection of it.
• Stop the engine before leaving the machine or making any adjustments to implements and before
refueling.
• Always check that the nuts and bolts are securely fastened.
• Always keep the machine free of grass or grease to avoid any risk of fire.
• Never lift or carry the machine when the engine is running.
• Do not modify the calibration of the engine revolutions regulator. If you rotate the engine at excessive
speed, the risk of accidents increases.
The fuel is highly flammable
• Store fuel in tanks dedicated for this purpose.
• Always fill the tank in open space; do not smoke during this operation.
• Add fuel with the engine off.
• Replace the exhaust pipe when it is worn.
• Do not tilt or turn the machine when there is fuel in the tank; The fuel is highly flammable and burns.
• Do not remove the tank cap or add fuel if the engine is running or still hot.
• If any fuel spills outside the machine, do not start the engine and move the machine away from this area.
Danger Carbon monoxide
Exhaust gases contain carbon monoxide, a colorless, odorless, poisonous gas. Never use the machine in
a closed place. Make sure the place is well ventilated. If you use the engine in a closed or even partially
closed room, the air you breathe could contain a significant amount of this dangerous gas. To prevent this
gas from accumulating, have adequate ventilation of the area.
Avoid contact with hot areas of the unit
Be careful the muffler and other engine parts can be extremely hot. Allow hot parts to cool before tou-
ching them.
Operator responsibility
• Keep the machine in good condition for use. Using a machine in poor or questionable condition can
cause serious injuries.
• Check that all safety devices are working properly and that safety labels are in place. These elements are
placed for your safety.
• Make sure the safety covers (fan cover, manual start cover) are in place.
• Hold the handlebars firmly as the machine tends to jump when shifting into gear.
• Do not operate the machine with the handle in the tractor position and the cutter bar, brush cutter,
snow blower or other front implements mounted.
