5. TROUBLESHOOTING
ATTENTION! Shut off the engine before performing any maintenance actions.
Listed below are some small difficulties that may occur and which can be resolved by the user.
1) The gasoline engine does not start.
Perform the following checks in the order indicated:
• The fuel tank is at least half full.
• The fuel cock is open.
• The engine is at minimum acceleration.
• The fuel reaches the carburetor.
• The fuel tank cap breather hole is not clogged.
• The carburetor filter is clean.
• The carburetor injectors are clean. Unscrew them to inspect them and, if dirty, clean them with a jet of
air.
• The spark plug sparks. Take out the spark plug, reconnect it to its wire, touch the metal part of the spark
plug with the metal part of the machine and turn the pulley as if to start the engine. If no spark is seen
between the spark plug electrodes, check if the spark plug wire connections are tight. If there is still no
current reaching the electrodes, replace the spark plug.
If the engine still does not start with a new spark plug, the problem must be found in the electrical
system, points, condenser, coil or other parts. It is advisable to go to the nearest service point or
specialized workshop.
2) The diesel engine does not start.
Perform the following checks in the order indicated:
• The fuel tank vent is not blocked.
• The fuel tank is at least half full. If the ambient temperature is very low, fill the reservoir, located in the
head and closed with a rubber plug, with engine oil.
If the engine still does not start, bleed the air from the fuel lines following the instructions in the engine
manual. If the engine still does not start, go to the nearest service center or a specialized workshop.
3) The gears do not engage.
If the clutch cannot engage after a long period
of tractor operation, users can adjust the clutch
control cable by adjusting the Q bolt.

4) The machine jumps forward on hard ground:
Adjust the centre blade by moving it to the last hole as shown in the related manual.
5) The blade coupling breaks frequently. (Machine with cutter bar):
Make sure the blade holders are not too tight;
Check if there are stones on the ground; If so, lower the cutting height adjustment slides to prevent small
stones from getting caught between the teeth and blade.
