There is also a 9-speed gear train and gears can be selected using the levers on
the right grip.
Using Assisted manual propulsion mode
Hold the grip firmly and turn the Batec crank arms for ard, al ays ith the ca-
bles up.
hen the sensor in the axis of the pedals detects the force, it ill activate
the electric motor. Use the buttons to change the level of assistance and use the
gear-shift levers to change gears.
ELECTRIC PROPULSION MODE
To s itch to electric mode, press the do n arro
hile in position 1. In electric
mode, there is only one speed and one light indicator on the display panel.
Using Electric propulsion mode
The user controls the speed of the motor ith the trigger on the electric grip. In
this mode, the sensor on the pedals is not activated.
BRAKE
The HANDBIKE BATEC HIBRID has two brake levers on the handlebar to activate
the disc brake. Pull on the lever to activate the brake.
TIP
Al ays keep t o fingers on the brake lever so you can react quickly.
Pressing on the brake lever and the red lever at the same time blocks the brake
lever, acting as a parking brake. ( ee fig. 21)
LIGHTS
There is a button on the HANDBIKE BATEC HIBRID handlebar to switch on the
front and rear lights.
hen you push the button, the front light ill go on in normal
mode and the light indicator on the display panel ill turn green.
hen you push
the front light button again, they change to high-beam mode, and so on. To turn
o the lights, hold the button do n for 2 seconds. The front light is belo the bat-
tery and the t o rear lights, on either side of the stand frame. ( ee fig. 23, 24)
4.7. USING THE HANDBIKE BATEC UAD HIBRID 2 CONTROLS
There are t o operating modes: Assisted manual propulsion and electric mode.
In the first mode, the user propels the handbike using the crank arms and the
motor provides assistance. The second mode is an emergency mode, only for
