With the exception of GROUP 01, all GROUPS can be edited or deleted, but it is important to note that if the GROUP
associated with one or more users is deleted, that user's access will no longer be allowed.
22 - COMMUNICATIONS
In COMMUNICATIONS, ETHERNET, CAN and RS485 network connection settings are performed, in addition to in-
terconnection options between equipment.
22.1 - CAN
CAN communication follows a proprietary Nice protocol. The available setting concerns the baud rate for equipment
interconnected in can network, such as with MG3000 or among other WeGo Bio biometric readers.
The default baud rate with the MG3000 is 125 kbps (125000 bits per second). The 250kpbs rate is only used between
WeGo / WeGo Bio Pro devices.
Each transmission rate meets a specification that limits the cable distance: 250 meters for 250kpbs, 500 meters for
125kbps.
22.2 - ETHERNET (TCP/IP)
The ETHERNET network has several configuration parameters, and prior knowledge of networks is recommended to
change these parameters and understand the technical terms. By default, dynamic network addressing settings are
enabled via the DHCP parameter. For most applications, it is recommended to use static addressing, which can be
accomplished by removing the DHCP selection and manually configuring the other network parameters.
