5.9.1
Mount plastic clip BAM PC-MP-042-02-S/W
To protect the sensor surface (touch-sensitive button,
status LED) against weld spatter.
1. Clip plastic clip onto top of sensor housing.
2. Fix the locking lugs of the plastic clip on the front sides
of the sensor.
The plastic clip can be replaced if worn, e.g.
due to deep weld spatter.
5.9.2
Mount silicone hose
BAM PT-XA-009-025-T-00.5
To protect the sensor cable against weld spatter.
1. Pull the silicone hose from the end of the cable to the
sensor.
2. Fix the silicone hose with cable ties.
– If the cable length is > 0.5 m, additional
silicone hoses must be attached to the
existing ones.
– If the cable length is < 0.5 m, the silicone
hose must be shortened.
The silicone hose can be replaced when worn,
e.g. due to deep weld spatter.
5.10
Provide strain relief
The pre-mounted cable clip can be used to provide strain
relief for the cable.
1. Position the cable clip near the sensor housing.
2. Lay the cable clip in the slot.

If the available length of the slot is not sufficient, the cable
must be fixed elsewhere for strain relief and cable clips that
are not required must be pulled off.
