5. UNPACKING
Your Mitre Saw has been shipped fully assembled except for the battery pack, blade, dust deflector and dust bag.
WARNING: If any part is missing or is defective, do not operate the saw until it has been replaced and correctly
fitted. Failure to do so could result in serious personal injury.
• Remove all accessories from the box. Check each accessory against the list of accessories. See Figure 2.
• Remove the packing from around the saw.
• Carefully lift the saw out of the box and place it on a level work surface. Although small, this saw is heavy. To avoid back
injury, get help if you need it.
• Do not discard the packing until you have inspected the saw carefully, identified all the accessories and used your new
saw satisfactorily.
• Your saw has been shipped with the saw arm locked down. To release the saw arm, push down on top of the saw arm
and pull out the locking pin. See Figure 5.
• Raise the saw arm by the handle, gripping it firmly to prevent it jumping up when the locking pin is removed.
• Examine all parts to make sure that nothing has been broken or damaged during transport.
