ALIGNING THE BLADE AND THE MITRE TABLE
See Figures 25 to 28.
Remove the battery pack from the saw.
WARNING: Failure to remove the battery pack from the saw could result in the saw starting accidentally and cause
serious personal injury.
Push the saw arm right down and engage the locking pin to hold the saw arm down in transport position.
Raise the mitre table clamping lever.
Rotate the mitre table until the index is aligned on 0°.
Push the mitre table clamping lever back down.
Slacken the bevel clamping knob and set the saw arm to 0° (the blade should be at 90° to the mitre table). Tighten the
bevel clamping knob.
Place a combination square against the mitre table and the flat part of saw blade.
NOTE: Make sure that the combination square is in contact with the flat part of the saw blade, not the teeth.
Rotate the blade by hand and check the angle between the blade and the table at several points.
The edge of the combination square and the saw blade should be parallel as shown in figure 25.
If the top or bottom of the saw blade angles away from the square as shown in figures 26 and 27, adjustment is required.
Using a 10 mm spanner or adjustable spanner, slacken the lock nut on the pre-set angle adjustment screw. Then slacken
the bevel clamping knob.
Adjust the pre-set angle adjustment screw to bring the saw blade into alignment with the combination square.
See Figure 28.
Retighten the bevel clamping knob. Then retighten the lock nut on the preset angle adjustment screw. Check the angle
between the blade and the table.
NOTE: The above procedure can be used to check the angle of the saw blade to the mitre table at both 0° and 45°.
