CARRYING HANDLE
See Figure 5.
For convenience when carrying or transporting your mitre saw from one place to another, a carrying handle has been
provided on the top of the saw arm as shown in figure 5. To transport the saw, remove the battery pack, then lower the saw
arm and lock it down by pushing the locking pin in.

ARBOR LOCK BUTTON

An arbor lock button has been provided for locking the arbor to stop the blade from rotating. Press the arbor lock button
in and hold it only while fitting, changing or removing the blade.

The trigger has a lock button to reduce the risk of starting the saw accidentally. To release the lock:
•
Press the lock button (1).
•
While holding lock button in, (2) press the trigger.
•
Release the lock button (3).
NOTE: The lock button is sprung and will return to the locked position when the trigger is released.

TRIGGER LOCK

To prevent unauthorized use of your mitre saw, we suggest that you remove the battery pack and lock the trigger in the
off position. To lock the trigger, fit a padlock through the hole in the trigger.
A padlock with a bar up to 5 mm diameter may be used. When the padlock is fitted and locked, the trigger cannot
be operated. Keep the padlock key elsewhere.

POSITIVE STOPS ON THE MITRE TABLE
There are positive stops at 0°, 22°, 30° and 45° to the left and right.
10.10 BEVEL CLAMPING KNOB
The bevel clamping knob clamps the mitre saw at the required bevel angle. Pre-set adjustment screws have been provided
on each side of the saw arm for adjusting the angle accurately for 90° and 45° cuts. See Figure 28.
10.11 ELECTRIC BRAKE
The saw has an electric brake to stop the blade rotating when the trigger is released.
10.12 FENCE
When making any type of cut the workpiece should be pressed firmly against the fence.
