n Dependence on grip conditions
The selection of the correct TC function level is
closely related to the grip conditions of the track
or route. A low grip level requires a high TC func-
tion level, which guarantees a stronger interven-
tion of the traction control.
n Dependence on type of track or route
When riding on a track or route with bends with
4
homogeneous travel speed, it will be easier to
select a TC level that meets the needs for every
bend; on the other hand, when riding on tracks
with bends with different travel speeds, it will be
necessary to accept a compromise TC level.
n Dependence on riding style
With a linear riding style (tendency to go through
the entire bend leaning the bike), it is recommen-
ded to select a higher TC function level. On the
other hand, with an aggressive riding style (ten-
dency to raise the bike quickly when exiting cor-
ners) it is recommended to select a low TC level.
OPERATION
n Tips for use on race track
When riding on a race track, it is recommended to
select level 6 of the TC function for the first two full
laps, in order to warm up the tyres and become
familiar with the traction control system. In the next
laps, it is advisable to try and decrease the TC
level, switching to the lower values until you find
the level that better suits your driving requirements.
n Tips for use on road
When riding on a road, it is recommended to initial-
ly select level 6 of the TC function, in order to beco-
me familiar with the traction control system. If the
intervention of the traction control is too strong, it is
advisable to try and decrease the TC level, swit-
ching to the lower values until you find the level that
better suits your driving requirements. Should
changes occur in the grip conditions, in the type of
route and/or in the riding style such as to make the
current TC level no longer suitable, it is advisable
to switch to the next level and make several
attempts by selecting the nearest higher and/or
lower values until you find the level that better suits
the current conditions of use of the vehicle.
