If the engine control unit has been replaced with a
non-genuine or non-compliant component, "VIN
LOCKED" appears on the display. In this case, it is not
possible to start the engine. Contact an authorised MV
Agusta service center to solve the issue.
4.4.16.2. Errors detected while using the vehicle
When the system detects a fault during the normal
operation of the vehicle, an error message like the one
shown here is displayed; in particular, the malfunctio-
ning unit or component of the motorcycle is identified. At
the same time, further fault warning lights for specific
types of components may also turn on (see § 3.7.1.).
WARNING
In the event of faults of components that are
essential for the operation of the vehicle, the
error message includes the "STOP ENGINE"
message. In these cases, stop and park the
vehicle in the first available space outside the
road lane and immediately turn off the engine.
