13 Warranty
The company (Saint Gobain Abrasives) offers a Three-year warranty, starting on the date of purchase, on the
purchased machines.
The warranty period is reduced from 36 months from the date of purchase to 12 months from the date of
purchase if the systems (machines, batteries, charging stations) are used in industrial applications.
The warranty is not transferable. Batteries and chargers purchased together with the machine are covered
by the 12-month warranty. The warranty does not cover any parts purchased separately. The rechargeable
battery has a warranty period of 12 months or 300 charges from the date of purchase, whichever occurs
earlier. If the machine develops problems within the warranty period that are caused by production or ma-
terial defects, Saint Gobain Abrasives will repair the machine free of charge. In order to maintain the war-
ranty, all work must be carried out either by Saint Gobain Abrasives or an authorized partner. The machine
may only be used for work in accordance with the manual.
13.1 Terms and conditions
The warranty covers material and production defects
Exclusions:
• Damage caused by: wrongful use, incorrect use, neglected maintenance, accidents, extreme temperatures,
acidic agents, water, unsuitable storage, excessive impact or transport damage.
• damage to the machine caused by spare parts, accessories or other items not identified as original spare
parts
• standard wear parts, such as: support discs, backup pads, disc brakes, housings, rotor, blades, exhaust air
filters, silencers, bearings, carbon brushes, rubber bearings, rechargeable batteries (with more than 300 char-
ging cycles) or the power supply unit of the charging station.
• machines that have been repaired by other workshops (not authorized partners) are excluded from the
warranty.
A 3-month warranty is granted for spare parts repaired or replaced by Saint Gobain Abrasives or an autho-
rized service partner during the warranty period. Repairs carried out during the warranty period do not ex-
tend or renew the original warranty period granted on the system. Saint Gobain Abrasives only has the right
to make changes, extensions or additions to the terms and conditions of the warranty.
13.2 Submitting a claim
To submit a repair claim, please contact the company Saint Gobain Abrasives
Machines returned under warranty must be accompanied by the invoice. Otherwise, the warranty will be
deemed invalid and will not be accepted. A warranty claim must be submitted immediately and within the
statutory warranty period.
