NOTICE!
Two app variants are available. Make sure to download and install the correct app-version for the installation. The Easy Connect hard-
ware is no longer updated and will be replaced by the Easy Connect Wi-Fi interface. Only one Easy Connect Wi-Fi interface unit will
then be required for Twin engines without EVC. The latest Easy Connect app features will also be enabled.
App name:
1: Volvo Penta Easy Connect
To set up the Easy Connect Bluetooth interface, you need to
be onboard the vessel.
1. Download the Volvo Penta Easy Connect app, available
on App Store and Google Play.
2. Make sure that Bluetooth is enabled on your device.
3. Turn on the ignition in the vessel.
4. Have the Easy Connect Bluetooth code ready. It is printed
on the Easy Connect Bluetooth interface and on a decal
that came with the interface. The code is also found in the
Information Display or Glass Cockpit.
5. Open the app on your device.
• If your region does not allow the creation of a Volvo
Penta ID, the app will now open.
• For more information on creating a Volvo Penta ID,
refer to the "Can I create a Volvo Penta ID?" in the online
FAQ*.
6. If you are not the primary user of this Easy Connect (if
you are a dealer or installing the interface for someone
else on your personal device, and not using the vessel
owners device), select "Continue as guest". The vessel
owner will also need the Bluetooth code to connect to the
vessel.
7. Tap "Sign in".
8. Sign in to an existing account or create a new account.
Tap "Continue" to allow browser access.
9. The first time you run the app, you need to add your ves-
sel. Tap "Add vessel" to set up your vessel. Enter details
and "Save".
10. In the Vessel Connections list, select your Easy Connect
Bluetooth interface, and enter the Bluetooth code to pair
your device.
• If you see multiple numbers in the Vessel Connections
list, select your serial number.
• If you have connected to your vessel before, it may not
ask for the Bluetooth code.
11. If the vessel does not have an EVC system or has an old
EVC generation, you will be prompted to select the instal-
lation type and enter chassis IDs for all drivelines.
12. The vessel setup is complete.
• Easy Connect is dependent on your mobile device being on
board.

App instructions
Instructions for twin (D1, D2 or gasoline) engines without EVC. The
Easy Connect Twin Gasoline app will not be further developed.
1. Download and install the Easy Connect Twin Gasoline app, avail-
able on App Store and Google Play.
2. Activate the Bluetooth function on your phone or tablet and switch
on the ignition of the boat.
3. Open the Easy Connect app. Tap "OK" or "Don't show this message
again" on the disclaimer page.
4. If you are not permitted to create a Volvo Penta ID, the app will now
open. For more information regarding possibilities to create a Volvo
Penta ID, refer to "Can I create a Volvo Penta ID?" in the online
FAQ*
5. Tap "Continue with Volvo Penta account", then tap "Continue" to
allow browser access.
6. Sign in with an existing account or "Sign up now" for a new account
at the bottom of the page.
7. First time you run the app, the "New Boat" page appears. To set up
a new boat, or change the existing one, tap "My boat". To create a
new boat, tap the plus sign (+) in the upper right corner. Tap "Add
photo" to upload a photo from your photo library and provide the
"Boat name" and "Dealer e-mail" information.
8. Tap "Installation type" and select Twin Non-EVC.
NOTICE!
For all other installation types, other than Twin Non-EVC,
refer to "Volvo Penta Easy Connect app instructions" instead.
9. Tap "Easy Connect Interface" to choose your interface NMEA 2000
EASY CONNECT and a passcode security message appears.
10. Tap "Connect" and pair with NMEA/Easy Connect.
11. Enter the six-digit Bluetooth code, printed on the NMEA/Easy Con-
nect interface label, then tap "Pair". (Only the first time you pair with
the interface).
12. The boat configuration page is shown when the pairing process is
completed.
13. Press "Start" to begin using Easy Connect.
