SQUEEGEE MAINTENANCE (AFTER SN 1312262)
After each use, clean the squeegee and check the blades for damage. Reverse or replace the blades if they are nicked, torn or worn to a radius.
To Reverse or Replace the Rear Squeegee Wiping Blade...
1
Unsnap the Center Latch (O) on the squeegee.
2
Remove the Wing Nut (P) from each end of the squeegee, then remove the Tension Straps (Q).
3
Slip the rear blade off the Alignments Pins (R).
4
Turn the blade so a sharp 90° edge points toward the front of the machine and against the floor. Replace the blade if both edges are nicked, torn or worn
to a radius.
5
Install the blade, following steps 1-3 in reverse order.
To Reverse or Replace the Front Squeegee Blade...
1
Remove the Recovery Hose from the Squeegee Adaptor (S).
2
Loosen the four "T" Bolts (T) and slide the squeegee off the mounts.
3
Remove the hex nuts that hold the front blade in place and remove the blade.
4
Turn the blade so a sharp 90° edge points toward the front of the machine and against the floor. Replace the blade if both edges are nicked, torn or worn
to a radius.
5
Install the blade, following steps 1-3 in reverse order.
SQUEEGEE ADJUSTMENT (AFTER SN 1312262)
Adjust the squeegee if it leaves water in the middle or at both sides of its path.
To Adjust the Squeegee Angle...
1
Park the machine on a level floor and lower the squeegee.
2
Loosen the lock nuts and turn the Squeegee Adjustment Bolts (U) equally to tilt the squeegee until the squeegee blades touch the floor evenly across the
entire width of the squeegee. Clockwise rotation of the Squeegee Adjustment Bolts (U) will tilt the squeegee back, counter clockwise rotation will tilt the
squeegee forward.
NOTE: The slots in the Front Blade (V) must allow the solution to easily pass into the interior of the squeegee (while moving forward) where it can be vacuumed
up. The Rear Blade (W) should be folded backward a sufficient amount to provide a good seal against the floor.
