In the Abril-Ex model, the burner cleaning is carried out regularly and automatically (cleaning system registered by Bronpi Calefacción). The
stove, after an uninterrupted use of 14 hours, performs an automatic switch-off and immediately after, it is automatically turned on to clean the
burner. But, at least, every 10 days, a manual cleaning of the burner should be done. In order to do that (see drawing D16):
•
Vacuum the ash located in the burner. You can
purchase a Bronpi vacuum cleaner in the same
Bronpi distributor where you bought your stove.
•
Check and, if necessary, clean the holes in the
base of the burner so that they are not blocked.
This would make difficult a proper combustion.
•
If necessary, unscrew the screws that secure
the burner in order to remove it and clean it
easier.
Keep in mind that your stove burner may need
a cleaning before 10 days or even after. This will
depend very much on the quality of the fuel used, the
installation of fumes and a correct regulation of the
stove.
9.3
SEALS OF THE COMBUSTION CHAMBER AND GLASS FIBRE
The seals guarantee stove hermetic nature and, thus, a proper performance (see drawing D18).
It is necessary to check them regularly; if they are worn-out or damaged they should be replaced immediately.
You can find ceramic cord and self-adhesive fibre at the same Bronpi distributor where you bought your stove.
These operations should be done exclusively by an authorised technician.
An authorised technician must do the maintenance at least once a year.
9.4
CLEANING THE CHIMNEY
When the pellet is burnt slowly, it produces tar deposits and other organic vapours that combined with the
humidity to create soot (creosote). An excessive accumulation of soot may cause problems in the smoke outlet
and the flue may catch fire if not maintained.
The cleaning of the stove chimney should only be made when the equipment is cold. A chimney sweep should perform this task and, at the
same time, examine the smoke duct (it is recommended to write down the dates of every cleaning and keep a register of them).
9.5
CLEANING THE GLASS
IMPORTANT:
Clean the glass only when it is cold in order to avoid possible explosion. You can use specific products. You can find Bronpi vitro
ceramic-cleaning product at the same Bronpi distributor where you bought your stove.
BREAKAGE OF GLASSES. The glasses, as they are vitro ceramic, resist until 750ºC and they are not subject to thermal shocks. The
breakage can only be caused by mechanical shocks (crashes or violent closing of the door, etc). Therefore, its replacement is not
included in the warranty.
9.6
EXTERNAL CLEANING
Do not clean the external surface of the stove with water or abrasive products because they may damage the stove. Use a feather duster or
a rag a bit wet.
9.7
CLEANING THE REGISTERS
To keep the validity of the warranty it is mandatory to do the register cleaning by an technician authorised by Bronpi
Calefacción, who will write down the statement made.
