STRETCH KNIT STITCH
Select 1 and set up the machine.
The same characteristics as the Safety 4-Thread stitch.
The Stretch Knit Stitch program uses the differential
feed and stitch length settings to prevent knitwear from
stretching while sewing.
Common Uses
•
Apply ribbing to knit necklines, cuffs or waistbands.
•
Garment construction on sweater knits.
Thread in the following sequence:
1 Red (F) thread path for upper looper (page 67)
2 Green (G) thread path for lower looper (page 68)
3 Yellow (B2) thread path for R1 needle (page 63)
4 Blue (D3) thread path for R2 needle (page 65)
5-THREAD STITCH
Select 2 and set up the machine.
A true 5-thread industrial stitch consists of two stitches
sewn simultaneously. 2 threads form the chainstitch
and 3 threads form the overlock. This stitch is used for
medium to heavyweight woven fabrics.
Common Uses
•
Perfect for garment construction on woven fabrics.
•
Excellent for drapes
Thread in the following sequence:
1 Red (F) thread path for upper looper (page 67)
2 Green (G) thread path for lower looper (page 68)
3 Brown (H) thread path for chain looper (page 70)
4 Yellow (A) thread path for L2 needle (page 62)
5 Blue (D2) thread path for R1 needle (page 65)
