ROLLED HEM 2
Select 8 and set up the machine.
The needle and lower looper threads form a stitch that
rolls the fabric before encasing the edge.
Common Uses
•
Since there are only 2 threads, the result is lighter
and finer than Rolled Hem 3. This is suitable for
lightweight fabrics like chiffon and bridal veiling
edging.
Thread in the following sequence:
1 Green (G) thread path for lower looper (page 68)
2 Yellow (B2) thread path for R1 needle (page 63)
STRETCH WRAPPED
Select 9 and set up the machine.
A stretch stitch that uses two needles and the lower
looper. This stitch provides the maximum stretch; the
second needle thread increases the stitch's durability.
Common Uses
•
Garment construction on exercise and swimwear.
Thread in the following sequence:
1 Green (G) thread path for lower looper (page 68)
2 Yellow (B2) thread path for R1 needle (page 63)
3 Blue (D3) thread path for R2 needle (page 65)
