Installing the Thermal Imager to the ROSCOPE 1000 / i2000

Only one device (accessory) should be connected to the ROSCOPE 1000 / i2000 at a time.
Always make sure the unit is off when installing or removing any accessories (including
the Thermal Imager).
Remove the set of (3) magnets from the BMC, and securely attach them in the top (3) threaded
inserts on the back of the ROSCOPE 1000 / i2000. Firmly grasp the Thermal Imager, and align the
holes on the back of the unit with the magnets on the back of the ROSCOPE 1000 / i2000. Once
aligned, gently apply downward pressure on the Thermal Imager to secure the unit in place. To
secure the connector to the hand-held device, make sure the key and slot of the center (black)
connector (Figure 1) are properly aligned. Once they are aligned, hand-tighten the knurled nut to
hold the connection in place.

Tool Inspection

Keep connector clean.
Clean any foreign contaminants (grease, dirt, oil, other) from the device.
Be aware of all warnings on product labels.

Tool and Work Area Set-Up

Check work area for proper lighting,
Flammable liquids, vapors or dust are not present in the work area.

Read the entire manual before operating product.
Touch-screen navigation when using with the ROSCOPE i2000.
Button navigation when using with the ROSCOPE 1000.
