2) Use a size 6 spanner to undo the screw which fixes the knob (1, Fig. H1).
3) Fit the spring onto the hexagonal post.
4) Press the spring down by hand to allow the knob to be put back onto the rod.
5) Keeping the knob lightly pressed down, fix it by fully tightening the screw removed earlier (see
Fig. H2).

6.8 INSTALLING THE STROKE LIMITER (OPTIONAL)
The optional stroke limiter is required for bead breaking on RUN FLAT, LOW PROFILE and UHP
tyres.
The STROKE LIMITER kit (Fig. K/3) comprises:
1)
Bead breaking limiter
2) Adjuster pin
3) Bead breaking arm mounting pin
4)
Shim
5) Fixing screws
6)
Grease pot holder spacer bracket
7) Plastic strip
If the kit has not already been preinstalled on the tyre changer, to install it correctly
proceed as follows:
1) Use a size CH 10 spanner to unscrew the screws of the grease pot holder (1, Fig. K/4)
and mounting pin (2, Fig. K/4).
2) With the aid of the plastic strip supplied with the kit, release the spring from its seat
on the bead breaker arm (see Fig. K/5).
3)
Remove the mounting pin and extract the bead breaker arm from the support, taking
care to recover the shim fitted between the support and the arm.
4) Fit the limiter on the bead breaker arm (see Fig. K/6).
5) Fit the bead breaker arm into the slots on the support.
N.B.: Take care to fit the two shims correctly; they must be mounted as shown in Fig. K/7:
- between the support and the bead breaker arm
- between the bead breaker arm and the stroke limiter
6)
Align the holes in the various parts to allow insertion of the NEW
in the kit (see Fig. K/8).
7) Secure the fixing pin with the 2 screws removed earlier.
