Stabilizing Valve

Operation
- This valve is used to increase the backflushing pressure and it should be installed at the filter or
header outlet.
- Warning: 24 V. AC or 12 V. latching must match with the programmer being used.

- The valve may work in any position and direction.
- The valve is controlled by means of the programmer and it is connected to the
M (master valve) inlet and to the C (common). The programmer itself has those
connections for use if it is necessary (according to the model).
- There are several models according to the use, with membrana and with piston.
- The piston valve is not watertight, to diminish an eventual ram shock. The mem-
brane valve requires adjustment with washers, when used with standard contro-
llers; this is not necessary with smart controllers.
- The valve has a NA solenoid and a 'cebollo'. This is the traditional system). The

- For its good operation, this valve needs normal maintenance. The stoppers should be replaced when they do not
stop the water and the solenoids should be cleaned to prevent clogging. The piston may be blocked by debris or

after long periods of time of no use, therefore it is advisable to remove, clean and lubricate with Vaseline.
- Adjustment: This valve on its own and with FL8A and Mini programmers, doesn't allow intermediate automatic regu-
lations of pressure. It opens and closes and we can actually regulate the closing by using washers so that the piston
stroke is shorter and the inside tongue closes less. To obtain more pressure the inside tongue should be more closed.
This is achieved by unscrewing the plastic indicator and removing the washers so that the piston stroke is longer. Then
the water passage for irrigation during backflushing becomes closer and the minimum pressure required by the filter
increases. With FL8I programmers the automatic adjustment is obtained.
- The water supplied to hydraulic control must come from the auxiliary filter with water inlets before the filters.
- Checking: at the beginning of the backflushing, water is flushed out through one of the solenoid drainage and the
indicator in the piston goes into the cylinder increasing pressure before the valve. At the end of the backflushing cycle,
water is flushed out through the drainage of the other solenoid or cebollo, and the valve opens completely.
- Sizes: 4", 6", 8", 10", 12" Flange connections.
- Closure time: 5 seconds.
