Automatic Discs Filters
Operation
These filtration systems need of some esential
minimum cares to guarantee its good operation.
It is recommended that said maintenance is
carried out by expert personnel and after reading
the present instructions.
These instructions seek to serve like orientation
guide to solve problems after a correct operation
during a time or after a long stop. It is very impor-
tant to revise that the yellow micro-tubes drain in
each cycle and that the red position indicators
change, so much those of the Globe valves as
those of the RotaSenior filters. These indicators
inform on which are the filters or the valves that do
not work correctly.
1) Place the system on a flat, hard surface, on its supports or connected to the conduit (as per model) with the ade-
quate draining to the outside. Do not install the systems inside hermetic enclosures or underground.
2) Unpack and connect the different elements that for protection during the transport are sent separated. Place the
elements according to the design and connection schema.
3) Connect (as per model) the P+ and P- pressure microtubes tot the control board.
EN
4) Screw the suckers and point the evacuation to an adequate place. Pressurized water can leak when starting.
5) Do not connect on pumps or diesel groups exposed to vibrations that cause breaks or cracks. Check the clamping
of the flanges and gaskets of all the system.
6) Adjust the dirt water flanges P+ (inlet) and p- (outlet to filtered water) in the correct direction. Follow the label's
indications and the flow arrows.
7) We recommend installing shutoff valves (not supplied) to the inlet and outlet, to isolate the system when needed.
We also recommend to install a no-return valve and, in some cases, a relief one.
8) Connect the draining outlets of the cleaning valves to the drain leading outside. Do not pressurize this outlet and
make sure it is draining to the atmosphere. The draining tube must be of sufficient diameter so as not to produce
excessive pressure loss or deposits that could cause clogging, it must be on a downward gradient.
9) Check that the power supply is stable and the voltage adequate for the programmer. Install magnetothermal swit-
ches and other protections as required by the local laws. To avoid electrical discharge, manipulate the programmer
only after disconnecting the power supply.
10) The filters work on positive pressure, never in suction; to filter in a downwards direction it is compulsory to install
automatic valves to maintain the pressure.
11) The minimum working pressure is 1kg/cm², in certain cases you must close the manual outlet valve (not provi-
ded of series) in order to obtain this minimum pressure.
12) Check that the asked filtering quality is the one received, on the filtering element. It is convenient to install secon-
dary filters next to the working point, as a safety to avoid particle deposits or loosening of the interior conduits of the
system by the water flow.
13) The time needed for cleansing depends on the model, equipment, pressure and kind of valves used. We
recommend the following cleansing times, to be increased if the contaminant or the system wear make it
convenient:
• Recommended minimum cleaning time for AutoSenior, RotaSenior, Rotativos, MasterMegadisc y AutoMaster filters.
- With 2" and 3" Globo Valve without cebollo --> 35 seconds.
- With 2" and 3" Globo Valve with cebollo --> 20 seconds (for Vip headers 45 seconds).
- With 4" and 6" Globo Valve (2 valves 4") with cebollo --> 45 seconds and 60 seconds respectively.
