Centrifugal Screen Filters
System
Filtration produced by the physical retention of particles larger than the orifices of the thermosoldered stainless
steel mesh. This stainless steel mesh is located in a cylindrical structure of drilled PVC. In order to obtain more surfa-
ce of contact between the mesh and the water, another mesh of plastic is sandwiched between the PVC cylinder and
the stainless steel mesh.
Large filtration area and minimum head loss.
High resistance to the effects that are produced by the differential pressure.
These filters have a baffle plate with tangential stream in order to produce the centrifugation, making that the par-
ticles are pulled by the weight diference to the accumulator tank.
Installation
In horizontar or vertical way, keeping always downwards the accumulator tank.
Verify the water flow direction.
Place the plug number on the shield in order to keep clean the cartridge and with 0,5Kg/cm² of head loss (see
schemes).
Check that a water regression, that can break or extract the screen, doesn't exist. If it's necessary, put a non-return
valve and vents.
It's very important that the user periodically verifies the screen wear condition. For it, it's necessary to disassemble
the cartridge and replace it before the screen fiber wear.
Place the stravenge valve or the automatic kit on the accumulator tank (not supplied).
If you want to see the head loss, instal two presure gauges (not supplied).
EN
Verify that stones or pricking elements can´t get into and break the screen.
Cleaning
It is carried out by periodic scavenge of the accumulator tank, where a non supplied
valve has to be threaded. For a greater confort there is an automatic stravenge kit optional.
When it is observed that the head loss is excessive, it is advisable to extract the cartrid-
ge and cleaning it by hand.
Applications
Recommeded for the use with any type of water, specially water containing fine sand in suspension.
It eliminates the particles in suspensión taking advantage of the centrifugal effect caused by the specially desig-
ned inlet to the filte-ring cartridge.
Ideal as a pre-filter for sand tanks.
Economic system that can in many cases replace the clasic hydrocyclone, thanks to its ability to separate heavy
particles.
Avoid use where the water to be filtered carries stones and heavy sand load.
Minimun headloss across the filter of 5 metres is required for effective centrifugal action.
For using it with water carrying excess sand, a hydro-cyclone in front of the filter has to be placed.
A set of rubber plugs are supplied in order to generate a loss of load in the filter of 5 m.c.a.
